Building Pori Airstrip continued.
Here is some new updates
The local member has asked the community to continue work by digging and moving the earth/ground using hand tools. Communities in Pori through youthgroups, clan groups, church groups and schools will be starting again on the airstrip project in February,2010.
- Raising funds for a large capacity generator and fuel to run it
The Pori community need to do additional fund raising to buy bigger generator to supply power to more than 30 houses for teachers health workers at the health centre, Pori Christian Brethren Mission station and surrounding community.
- Large capacity solar panels and regulators/skilled technicians to power the newly installed Library computers donated to the school through the CIEDA program.
- Pori and Duna rural womens development, education in hygiene and disease control
Egame Kenamu who is a primary teacher and execuitve member of CIEDA a women's leader from Pori and teaching in Port Moresby. She is mobilizing the Pori and Duna rural women in Port Moresby to provide better training for Women and girls in Pori and Port Moresby. Egame is organising and supporting the women and girls in Port Moresby and communicating with Sheilla Haguai also a teacher in Pori who is the women representative and CIEDA organiser, mobilizing the women and girls to be part of the CIEDA program during the launching of the CIEDA organisation mid April.
Increased funding for child care centres and child care workersThere are few childe care centres in the district and even fewer skilled child care workers to meet the needs of teh community
These are all good ideas and worthy projects, but without much prayer for the Lords help and to put on the hearts of teh generous christians worldwide these projects may take many years to happen, we ask all to pray about the funding, the manpower, the needs of these projects and teh districts and communities they serve.

Pori opens it's new library, The member for Tari Pori and National Minister for Education, The Hon James Marabe today opened the new library. The Minister James Marabe was elected in parliament in 2007 National elections. The Minister with a willing heart donated K10'000:00 cash to buy books and materials for the Pori Library. CIEDA organisation has been working together with the women groups, church groups, schools, health clinics, rural local level government office and wards in the Dunal and Hela region to bring development and changes in the communities. The Minister for Education will be launching the CIEDA organisation in April, 2010.
